New Survey for ALL: Gallbladder Removal in PSC

  • 1 min read

A new survey focusing on the impact of cholecystectomy (gallbladder removal surgery) on the course and outcomes of PSC is now available in the Registry.

To effectively compare outcomes, this survey is open to ALL Registry participants;

  • Whether you HAVE or HAVE NOT had your gallbladder removed

  • Whether you HAVE or HAVE NOT had a liver transplant (a major outcome to study)

Caregivers can fill out this survey on behalf of their loved ones with PSC.

This survey was developed by PSC Partners, PSC Support (U.K. patient organization), and leading researchers in PSC. It should take about 10-15 minutes to complete.

Why it matters: Many people living with PSC have had their gallbladder removed, for many possible reasons. Complications from PSC are similar to and interact with gallbladder-related complications. This survey aims to build an understanding of the timeline and possible impact of gallbladder removal compared to PSC symptoms and disease progression.

Please log in to the Registry and take the survey today!
