Clinical Trials & Studies for PSC

Clinical trials and research studies offer an opportunity for patients to participate in scientific and drug development research.

In a clinical trial, participants receive specific interventions according to the research plan or protocol created by the investigators. These interventions may be medical products, such as drugs or devices; procedures; or changes to participants’ behavior, such as diet.

PSC Partners collaborates with pharmaceutical companies to plan and conduct clinical trials by adding your patient perspective to the trial protocol; by representing the patient voice throughout the drug development process; and by sharing clinical-trial information with the PSC community.

Patient participation in trials is essential to developing new PSC treatments. On behalf of the entire community, the Registry Team is thankful to every person living with PSC who has participated in clinical trials.

Find a Trial or Study

Join the Registry: One important function of the Registry is to assist in connecting PSC patients with clinical trials or studies for which they may be eligible. Based upon a Registry participant’s answers to the patient surveys, they may receive a confidential email* from Registry staff with information about a clinical trial that is recruiting PSC patients. Join the Registry and complete the surveys to access this opportunity.

Visit the PSC Partners website: The Clinical Trials page of PSC Partners’ main website has up-to-date information about select trials and studies that are recruiting and explains the various trial types and phases. Check the site often.

*To ensure privacy, no contact details are provided to study investigators. It is your choice to contact the study team if you are interested in participating.
